Client Director

To make a leap and accelerate our growth over the next 3 - 5 years, we're looking for a Client Director, strengthening our leadership team and being the senior owner of key client relationships.

In our mission to grow change capabilities of organisations, we’re increasing their ability in business transformation from the common 30% to a 95% success rate. The foundation of our approach is the proven Six Batteries of Change model (P. De Prins, G. Letens, K. Verweire), substantiated with our academic research in collaboration with Vlerick Business School.

Up till now, we’ve realized a three-year growth rate above 45% with global and regional clients, headquarted in the Benelux, with business units across Europe, North America and Asia. Our core team exists of twenty consultants.

Some of our current and past customers: BASF, Deme, SD Worx, SHV Energy, TP Vision, Mammoet, Stolt, Swapfiets, Vinci.


Purpose of your role

  • Be the trusted advisor and solution architect for your clients, connecting across internal and external networks to deliver their business strategy and transformation programs with sustained impact.
  • Contribute actively to the long-term growth strategy of LQ and build the A-brand reputation in the market.
  • Actively expand LQ’s client portfolio through a strong personal network amongst C-level business leaders and building strong client relations as a trusted advisor


The challenging and varied role of Client Director can be divided into two focus areas: Client Partner and Commercial Director.

You will be Client Partner for your clients by delivering outstanding business transformation solutions & services. You will work with experienced LQ client teams to design an appropriate transformation strategy and change master plan. Understanding the objectives, business needs, organizational readiness for change and the challenges of your clients.

In the role of Commercial Director, you will actively contribute to the design of the LQ long term growth strategy and annual business planning process. You are responsible for the business (development) plan of a portfolio of clients (including P&L responsibility), the client strategy and closing commercial contracts, to ensure that opportunities for success are maximized. You will report into the Global Client Lead, who is part of the management team.


What do you bring

  • Track record of 10+ years of client management / commercial experience;
  • Deep experience in leading business transformation solutions;
  • Broad network at C-level with key decision makers in international organizations;
  • Experience in advising and steering complex (international) clients in a business transformation context;
  • Preferable experience in leading roles within established consultancy firms;
  • And being a team player who supports colleagues and coaches teams in effective delivery.

An opportunity to move into the role of an entrepreneur as part of a strong team!

We will contract you in an entrepreneurial manner, offering you the opportunity to start from your own business case, whilst we support you to mitigate your personal risk by offering a base-income which is not reliant on direct market-performance. This is what we offer you:

  • Fulltime (4 to 5 days) interim role, undetermined time;
  • Total remuneration is between 70K and 250K on an annual basis:
    • Partly fixed income of 70K on an annual basis, €5,833 paid out per month;
    • Partly variable income: 10% of sales turnover at customers – assumption of at least 1 million turnover in customer portfolio of 1 Client Director – so 100K on an annual basis, maximum variable salary up to 180K. Note: the customer portfolio of a Client Director will partly consist of already existing LQ customers and new customers – assumption about 4 A customers per Client Director.
  • Possibility to participate in shares;
  • Possibility to lead, in another entity, the BU with further growth of LQ in other countries (after business case validation)
